Last weekend, I had a chance to be pampered by Holistica Wellness and Aesthetics. It has been a long time since the last time I got myself to go to a wellness and aesthetics center because of pandemic. Besides, everything starts to be normal again. It is great timing to spoil ourselves again, right ladies?

Holistica Wellness and Aesthetics offers a variety of services such as massages, manicure, pedicure, eyelashes extension, nail extension, hair salon services, botox, IV drips, hair removal services, facials and many more. You name it, they have it. Even, you are hungry they got you. They also offer healthy food, coffee and refreshments. It is truly a sanctuary for a lady like me and for those girls who needs TLC (Tender Loving Care) for themselves. It is the place to be. Start early by messaging them on Instagram or facebook page for an appointment. Especially during weekend, it is hard for walk-ins. It is mostly booked already. During weekdays, they have more time to accommodate walk-ins.

If you and your girlfriends are looking for a place to surprise the bride to be, I will also recommend this place. They have a wonderful room for group of people, it could be a small group around 5 persons or up to 15 persons. They will attend to your needs. Here is the sample package:

Spa room will be booked for 3 hours
Manicure with gel polish (services depends on the client)
Food (can choose from the menu)

For 15 pax – 20,000 php++ (consumable for food and services)

This is the room where the Bachelorette will be held.

It is a good deal and good surprise for bride to be or for birthday celebrant too. It can be customizable; it depends on your mood. Call or message them ahead of time most probably 7 days or a month before the date of the celebration.

They have accommodating staff that will make you feel comfortable and even the owner, Ms. Gio is very hands on. She even toured me and showed me the place by herself. Thank you so much for your generosity. I will surely come back and tag along my mom and my sister.

How COVID-19 changes what people are looking for in real estate

Since 2020, the year where the pandemic starts, it has changed a lot of dynamics in our life. From work, personal interest, stock markets, schools, real estate and mostly everything changed. Who would think that pandemic will still arise even though our world has become more efficient, advanced and grown to an exponential extent since the last pandemic hits the world? No one expected this.

During those days when COVID-19 started and entered in our country. I thought it will only last for a few months but here we are on our 2nd year. However, we are coping with it. We have our own health protocols to follow to able to avoid and fight the virus. Plus, the vaccines that was given to almost everyone in the world help us to avoid the risk to have COVID-19 fatally. Thank you so much for all the efforts of the scientists and researchers to make the world safe and sound again.

Let us go back to real estate, for the 1st year of the pandemic everyone was conservative in letting go of their money. No vaccines yet were available. Real estate declined. When things starting to change too, everyone was at home working or some people was no choice but to stay at home. The house was becoming crowded and more fights were established. People also started to buy pets like dogs, cats, hamsters, fish or any possible animal that can be a pet. The place what we called home was becoming a small place to breath in, especially those people who live in a small house, apartment or condominium.

In that kind of situation, when the world opened the markets again, life was becoming normal in the new normal again. People are started to look for a bigger place. Some might be looking for a backyard or garden for their new found hobby during this pandemic or for their pets to run wild and free. Some might be looking for a house with a room that can be turned as an office place. Some might be looking for a bigger house with more rooms on it because some of their family members are back at home.

For me, in our experience if the time comes that I will able to buy our new home, I want an office space because we started to work from home since pandemic. I also want a garden to be closer with nature, so I have space to breath and to meditate. I also need a room for our daughter because she is growing so fast. Lastly, a lovely huge kitchen to cook our meals.

So, what should we do to have a new home? We invest in real estate because according to Bloomberg, real estate sector has good stand in the market. Let's start to figure your loan or considering refinancing. I have used it. We think we can manage it. This is for our future and our daughter’s future I will not have second doubts about it. Reshaping Pinoy Technical Vocational Education and Training

Here in the Philippines, they have a stigma when somebody did not finish college. They somehow discriminated and look down upon on. They should remove this stigma, because everyone who is determined and hard working can be professional even though they just graduated from tech-voc in the Philippines. It is unpopular choice of high school graduates. For me, if you want to focus on your skills. It is a good choice and less expensive.

It does not mean, ikaw ay bobo. Pinoy tech-voc graduates ay hindi bobo. It has a lot of benefits. Some people who have graduated college sometimes still go to TECH-VOC classes to get certified. Some other jobs in other countries requires certification from the accredited TECH-VOC trainings.

Upon checking, they have reshaped TESDA. It has 2 tracks: product-oriented track and service-oriented track.

Product-oriented tracks are designed in order to alleviate poverty and provide income-generating projects to barangay folks like stay-at-home moms, out-of-school youths, drug dependents, seniors/retirees, jobless folks, and surrenderees. Some of these product-oriented tracks are called cottage industries and can be done in the backyard or in a factory for SME. Some of these are:

Livelihood tracks aims to provide skills training to its target beneficiaries, to engage them in livelihood projects that are income generating. The training package for this track must include:

Salesmanship/Entrepreneurship, managerial, marketing and bookkeeping. These livelihood trainings are best for barangays and provincial training through Barangay Kasanayan para sa kabuhayan at kapayapaan (BKKK) set by TESDA. TESDA will also provide for the necessary tools and materials as well as equipment for this skill training.

The Service Oriented Sector/Industry are the following:

Only by professionalizing all Service Oriented Tech-Voc Courses will uplift the image of techvoc students, graduates and practitioners in the country.

Moreover, investment in learning technology and digital skills of tech-voc instructors and students can ensure lifelong access to learning opportunities and future workforce adaptability.

Good, high-paying jobs await qualified tech-voc grads. If only they’re given proper incentives, multisectoral support and a supportive policy environment, the tech-voc track can also be a viable alternative for young Filipinos who wish to lead productive lives.

We may still have a long way toward strengthening our tech-voc ecosystem in the country, but with a little help and support from the government, industry and academe, we are making crucial inroads that lay the foundation for the future. As we promote tech-voc to the youth to undergo tech-voc training, we hope that tech-voc professionalism and licensing will soon be implemented as well.

And hopefully in the coming years and decades, the state of tech-voc education in the Philippines would further be improved so that when we ask Filipino children what they want to be when they grow up, we hope many of them will also answer that they would want to take the tech-voc path and become a carpenter, a forklift driver or a farming technician. And by then, these children would no longer be laughed at nor looked down with the career choices they’ve made.
